Hi!

My name is Sara and there are few things in my life I’m more crazy about than music. I’m an older bird, so my tastes may not line up with the kids today, but I’ve found that most alternative kids have fantastic taste! I’ve learned to listen when they tell me what they are loving these days mostly because I usually end up loving it, too.

My favorite station to listen to is ALT Nation on Sirius XM. They usually provide much of what I listen to. My favorite way to discover new bands is to see the openers of live shows. That is how I discovered my current favorite, K. Flay, several years ago when she opened for a less than favorable band, Icona Pop. There is something magical about the trance only live music can put on. If you let it happen, the experience can be unforgettable. Most of my life stages are tied to music, as many of you I’m sure.

Here are some other facts about me – I’m 32 (which feels too old at some concerts, but I’m here to tell you, I do not care.), I’m married for almost a decade and I have two kickass boys. I will likely not talk too too much about them, as they don’t really apply to the theme of this blog, but you may see them pop up here and there… I’m about to graduate college with my bachelor’s (late bloomer!) and life is pretty good most days.

If that sounds just about as vanilla as it could possibly get, I drive a minivan. Boom.
